Estates and Consignments Fine Art Liquidations

The is a Tate certificate verso suggesting that this was one of Blake’s illustrations for Dante’s “Inferno.”  It titles the piece “The Ressurection.” An exquisite and attention-getting piece. This impressive work of art is being sold to settle an estate.  Nicely framed under glass.  It came from a wealthy family’s great Arizona stately home.  It may or may not be a museum de-accession.  The owners and their guests may have thought it real but neither we nor the executor can authenticate it because memories fade, invoices are lost, owners and artists die, and galleries close.  This piece has not been forensically analyzed and we do not warrant its authenticity or value.
