It hung for years in a great mansion whose owner and his guests thought it was authentic.

The great mansions of Paradise Valley and Silverleaf’s Billionaires’ Row are the winter residences of some of the world’s wealthiest people. Inevitably some or all of the splendid works of fine art hanging in these great houses have to be periodically sold to settle estates. Pieces with firmly established provenances are typically sent to Sotheby’s and Christie’s. What we offer is what is left after passing through two or three inheritances such that memories and documents were lost or a faster estate closure is desired. We typically receive such pieces on consignment and are asked to sell them quickly so executors can finish settling very large estates of which they are but an inconsequential part. Accordingly we always submit all offers both for individual pieces and for groups of pieces.
